General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the development of new quality productive forces tailored to local conditions and the promotion of deep integration between the real economy and the digital economy. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to improve the system for promoting the deep integration of the real economy and the digital economy. The deep integration of the two not only reflects the combination of technology and industry, but also indicates the reshaping of future economic models, which is a powerful support for empowering high-quality economic and social development. Exploring the deep integration path between the real economy and the digital economy is conducive to expanding new spaces for economic development, shaping new driving forces and advantages for development. The real economy is the lifeline of the national economy, while the digital economy is related to the formation of new quality productivity and the cultivation of new driving forces. Only by deeply integrating the two can the potential of digital technology be fully unleashed, effectively supporting the transformation and upgrading of the economic structure, and creating enormous economic value. Based on the above basic conditions, combined with China's super large market and rich application scenarios, the deep integration of the real economy and digital economy is being solidly promoted. The digital economy penetration rate of the primary industry, the secondary industry and the tertiary industry continues to increase, reaching 10.78%, 25.03% and 45.63% respectively in 2023. Industrial Internet applications are fully integrated into 49 national economic categories, covering all 41 industrial categories. Promoting the deep integration of the real economy and the digital economy is a systematic project. It requires a deep understanding of the inherent laws of the integration and development of the two under the new round of global technological revolution and industrial transformation, as well as a systematic summary of the practical experience of the coordinated promotion of digital industrialization and industrial digitization. It is necessary to accurately grasp the dialectical relationship between the interdependence and mutual promotion of the real economy and the digital economy, explore practical paths, and provide framework guidance for the formulation, optimization, and implementation of innovative, targeted, and forward-looking institutional systems. Strengthen the construction and application of new infrastructure, and consolidate the foundation for deep integration and development. The new infrastructure, including communication networks and data computing facilities, is the cornerstone for promoting the deep integration of the real economy and the digital economy.
