The excavation area is located at the edge of the site, covering an area of 1300 square meters. The thickness of the cultural layer accumulation in the excavation area is about 0.6 to 1.2 meters. A total of five house sites were discovered during this excavation, which can be divided into three phases from bottom to top and from morning till night. The first phase was during the Northern Song Dynasty, with two house sites located in the eastern and northeastern parts of the excavation area; The second phase is from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Yuan Dynasty, with two house sites located in the central part of the excavation area; The third phase is from the Ming and Qing dynasties, with a total of one building located in the southwest of the excavation area. In terms of space, there is a process of development and transformation from northeast to southwest for all three phases of housing sites. A large number of relics from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties were unearthed during this excavation. In the first period of relic porcelain, celadon is the most common, with a small amount of blue and white porcelain; A certain number of black glazed porcelain, blue white porcelain, and white porcelain began to appear in the second phase relic porcelain, while the number of celadon porcelain decreased significantly, and the origin of porcelain became more diverse; Blue and white porcelain appeared extensively in the third period relic porcelain. A brick with inscriptions was also found among the unearthed relics, with one side stamped with "Xijiu Township Yuji" and the other side stamped with scroll grass patterns. The person in charge of Ningbo Cultural Heritage Management Research Institute introduced that the remains of houses, roads, stone walls, water wells, and a large number of relics unearthed from the Sunhu site reveal the historical changes in village life from the Song and Yuan dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties. These findings provide new materials for the academic community to gain a deeper understanding of people's lifestyles, architectural techniques, and social structures during this period.
