Recently, the Guangzhou Procuratorate and Guangdong Folk Crafts Museum jointly held a "Little Law" dual teacher classroom with the theme of "Dialogue with Tradition, Embracing the Future". The purpose of this activity is to guide juvenile offenders to build confidence in returning to society through immersive learning and situational assistance. The Chen Academy, commonly known as the Chen Family Ancestral Hall, where the Guangdong Folk Crafts Museum is located, is one of the largest, best preserved, and most exquisitely decorated ancestral hall style buildings in China. It embodies the pinnacle of Lingnan architectural craftsmanship and decoration, and is hailed as the "pearl of Lingnan architectural art". This double teacher classroom is set up in a museum and is jointly taught by Huang Haiyan, a representative of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress and director of the Guangdong Folk Crafts Museum, and Lin Li, a representative of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress and prosecutor of the Guangzhou Procuratorate. At the beginning of the activity, Huang Haiyan introduced the architectural craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and modern protection techniques for preventing and controlling ant infestations of the Chen Family Temple to the children one by one. Coincidentally, the museum is currently repairing gray plastic components, and Huang Haiyan has specially arranged a restoration session for the children's viewing of ancient architecture. To withstand the wind and rain all year round, ancient architectural relics cannot do without the careful protection of cultural relics protection workers. We hope that children can understand the spirit of craftsmanship and the power of perseverance from it. "Huang Haiyan candidly stated that allowing the cultural relics in the museum to" speak from their own experiences "and provide life inspiration for children who have made mistakes has profound significance. Subsequently, Lin Li used the prevention and control of ant infestations in ancient buildings as a starting point, combined with real cases of juvenile delinquency, to warn children to take precautions and be wary of bad behavior escalating into illegal criminal behavior. She extended her work from the restoration of gray plastic buildings, encouraging children to cultivate a character of hard work and perseverance, and to create the future with the spirit of craftsmanship. Prosecutors have found that if bad behavior can be corrected in a timely and effective manner during their duties, many minors can avoid falling into the quagmire of crime. However, due to various factors, minors involved in crimes lack the awareness and ability to correct themselves, and also have characteristics such as being afraid of hardship and fatigue when doing things, and being a skilled eye. When introducing the design concept of this dual teacher classroom, Lin Li said, "If the internal drive for juvenile offenders to reform is insufficient, the work of helping and educating them is like scratching the surface, difficult to get into their minds and hearts. The immersive learning program set up in this course is mainly aimed at breaking through this dilemma, allowing children to understand in real scenarios that success is not achieved overnight, and reform is not a one-day effort." In recent years, the Guangzhou procuratorial organs have explored the introduction of excellent traditional culture in juvenile prosecution work, using culture to shape personality and law to nourish morality. In 2023, the procuratorial organs of the city launched a special action of "Empowering Uninspected Work with Guangfu Culture", integrating traditional cultural elements into observation, protection, assistance, legal publicity and other work.
