The Ministry of Education, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission recently issued the "Management Measures for the Construction of Education Accommodation Stations for Military Children" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"), which will come into effect on November 20, 2024. The Measures thoroughly implement the policies and systems of the state and the military on the education and preferential treatment of military children, adhere to the principles of focusing on winning battles, serving officers and soldiers, military civilian cooperation, strong support, one station operation, and shared benefits among stationed troops, coordinate the education needs of military children, make full use of existing resources, and clarify that in difficult and remote areas and for troops far away from cities, food and lodging stations can be opened nearby in county-level and above cities to better promote the stability and responsibility of officers and soldiers, enhance the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the troops. The Measures consist of 7 chapters and 32 articles, mainly regulating the management system, functional tasks, planning and construction, management operation, funding guarantee, and support policies of food and lodging stations, ensuring that the construction and management of food and lodging stations are formal and orderly, and promoting the comprehensive improvement of the quality of education for military children.
