On November 26th, the second China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo opened in Beijing. Compared to the first edition, more than 600 domestic and foreign enterprises participated in this year's Chain Expo, a year-on-year increase of about 20%; Nearly 70 countries participated in the exhibition, and the proportion of overseas exhibitors increased from 26% in the first edition to 32%; The world's top 500, China's top 500, and China's top 500 private enterprises have increased by 42%, 46%, and 70% respectively. This year's Chain Expo presents three highlights: higher internationalization level, stronger specialization, and stricter green standards, which will undoubtedly promote the inclusive development of global industrial and supply chains. Opening up is a distinctive symbol of Chinese path to modernization. In recent years, China has expanded market access and improved the level of foreign investment liberalization; Continuously promoting smooth cooperation, improving international cooperation mechanisms, and aligning with international high standard economic and trade rules; A series of effective measures to expand opening up have achieved positive results, including the comprehensive cancellation of foreign investment access restrictions in the manufacturing sector, the implementation of the national and pilot free trade zone versions of the negative list for cross-border service trade. In the first 10 months of this year, China's total import and export value of goods trade increased by 5.2% year-on-year, and newly established foreign-invested enterprises increased by 11.8% year-on-year. The fact proves that China's advocacy and profound practice of open cooperation conforms to the development aspirations of countries around the world and has gained increasing recognition from the international community. An open China is an important engine for global development and prosperity. China's opening up has expanded the global consumer market space, enhanced the resilience of the global industrial and supply chains, and ensured the flow of production factors such as capital, talent, technology, and data. Chinese enterprises are expanding their overseas development space by actively participating in international division of labor and cooperation, continuously enhancing the global influence of Chinese brands, and becoming an essential supporting force for the global industrial and supply chains. Under the trend of anti globalization and protectionism, all of this is particularly precious. Currently, a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is rapidly developing, and technological innovation has become an important driving force for world economic growth. How to continuously promote the supplementation, expansion, and strengthening of industrial and supply chains, and how to efficiently create an "innovation chain" that is deeply integrated with the industrial chain, not only concerns economic security, but also high-quality economic development, and has become a necessary question for all countries. We must rely on the competition and cooperation brought about by openness to continuously form industrial and supply chains with stronger innovation and higher added value. The industrial chain and supply chain are important global public goods. The Chain Expo is a high standard, high-quality, and high-level global economic and trade event, serving as a bridge and link for all parties to strengthen communication, deepen cooperation, and seek common development. The Chain Expo firmly grasps the keyword "chain" and focuses on showcasing chains, ecosystems, and scenarios. It undertakes the functions of promoting the connection between upstream, midstream, and downstream, the integration of large, medium, and small enterprises, the collaboration between industry, academia, research, and application, and the interaction between Chinese and foreign enterprises. It provides a platform for trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation aggregation, and learning exchange for enterprises from various countries. Exhibitors are not "arm wrestling" to grab customers, but "holding hands" to find partners, thereby achieving long-term cooperation and win-win development among upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises in the supply chain, making the supply chain a "win-win chain" for international cooperation. These experiences are invaluable and require long-term persistence and continuous enrichment and development in practice.
