The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced today (22nd) the cold chain logistics operation data for the first three quarters of this year. Since the third quarter, fresh agricultural products have entered the peak consumption season, coupled with the growth of catering consumption and the promotion of fresh e-commerce, the total amount and revenue of cold chain logistics have rebounded in the first three quarters of this year. According to a survey by the Cold Chain Logistics Professional Committee of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the total amount of cold chain logistics in the first three quarters of this year was 6.4 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. Among them, the growth rate in the third quarter was 4.5%, which was 0.8 percentage points faster than that in the second quarter. In the first three quarters of this year, the online retail sales of fruits in China increased by 11.94% year-on-year, with fresh fruits showing particularly outstanding growth, reaching 18.23%. Under the joint promotion of various factors, the overall demand of the cold chain logistics industry has steadily increased, and the market size continues to expand. In the first three quarters of this year, the total demand for cold chain logistics was 304 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%. The construction of cold chain infrastructure is steadily advancing to meet the rapid development needs of cold chain logistics. With the support of relevant national policies, the construction of cold chain infrastructure represented by cold storage is also steadily advancing, and the investment in cold storage construction continues to increase. According to incomplete statistics, the investment in cold storage projects in the first three quarters of this year was 36.507 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.53%. In the third quarter, with the maturity of fruits and vegetables and the increase in the production of frozen products, the demand for cold storage in the market has increased, and the rental rate of cold storage in most cities has slightly increased compared to the second quarter. Since the beginning of this year, the investment in cold storage projects has exceeded 36.5 billion yuan. In order to adapt to the rapid development of cold chain logistics demand, with the support of relevant national policies, the construction of cold chain infrastructure represented by cold storage is also steadily advancing, and the investment in cold storage construction continues to increase. The significant increase in sales of new energy refrigerated vehicles is attributed to the introduction of favorable policies related to new energy refrigerated vehicles, especially the subsidy policy for new energy urban cold chain distribution vehicles issued by the Ministry of Transport, which greatly enhances the enthusiasm of enterprises to purchase new energy refrigerated vehicles. In front of a cold storage in Yinchuan, several newly purchased new energy refrigerated trucks are queuing up for loading. The company leader told reporters that they have purchased nearly 100 new energy refrigerated trucks this year, focusing on cold chain logistics services in the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia region. The subsidy in place has also stimulated the enthusiasm of enterprises to purchase new energy refrigerated trucks. This new energy refrigerated truck manufacturer has also experienced explosive growth in sales in the northwest region. From a national perspective, the sales volume of new energy refrigerated trucks in the first three quarters of this year was 9257 units, a year-on-year increase of 230.96%. The penetration rate of new energy refrigerated trucks reached 22.4%, an increase of 15.8 percentage points year-on-year. The proportion of new energy refrigerated truck equipment updates in first tier cities has reached 50% -60%. The active international cold chain logistics further enriches people's dining tables. With the rapid development of international cold chain logistics, people's dining tables have also been further enriched. Nowadays, cherries from South America, king crabs from Russia, and more can enter our lives through convenient logistics transportation networks. On the morning of the 20th, China Eastern Airlines' "China Chile Express 10th Anniversary Commemorative" cargo plane loaded 76 tons of fresh Chilean cherries and made its maiden flight from Santiago, the capital of Chile, to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. With the increasingly improved logistics service system, cherries on the plane can be quickly distributed to major cities in China, allowing Chinese consumers to enjoy fresh fruits that have been away from cherry blossom branches for less than 2 days in winter. Not only Chilean cherries, but also Thai durians, American lobsters, and Russian king crabs are entering people's dining tables through increasingly sophisticated international cold chain logistics networks. In Weihai, Shandong, a Russian transport ship carrying 200 tons of king crabs docked at Weihai Port. Staff worked tirelessly to slowly lift baskets of king crabs onto the shore using tower cranes. Many dealers have already placed orders and sent vehicles and personnel to the port to wait for loading operations, achieving "direct delivery from the port to the dining table". (New Society)
