Based on advantages, promote the development of low altitude economy
2024-11-15
Since the beginning of this year, the heat of low altitude economy has not diminished. The recently held 2024 Low altitude Equipment Industry Innovation and Development Conference revealed that China will explore a new integrated industrial development model of intelligent networked "unmanned aerial vehicles+automobiles" in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that it will coordinate the foundation and advantages of intelligent connected new energy vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicle industries, actively explore the construction of a three-dimensional transportation network integrating air and ground, and promote the large-scale application of low altitude equipment and the agglomeration development of low altitude industries. The low altitude economy harbors a huge market size. Low altitude economy is a comprehensive economic form that is centered on low altitude flight activities, composed of new quality productive forces such as unmanned aerial vehicles and low altitude intelligent networking technologies, and interacts with factors such as airspace and market, driving the development of low altitude infrastructure, low altitude aircraft manufacturing, low altitude operation services, and low altitude flight support. According to CCID Consulting's calculations, the scale of China's low altitude economy is expected to exceed 500 billion yuan by 2023 and is projected to surpass one trillion yuan by 2026. In addition to the core industry scale exceeding one trillion yuan, the low altitude economy will also drive investment in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain exceeding one trillion yuan, and drive economic growth exceeding one trillion yuan through cross-border integration. The policy momentum is driving the low altitude economy to soar. Low altitude economy is regarded as a typical representative of new quality productivity. From the Central Economic Work Conference at the end of last year listing low altitude economy as a strategic emerging industry, to this year's inclusion of low altitude economy for the first time in the Government Work Report and positioning it as one of the new growth engines, national planning has guided more resources to rapidly concentrate on low altitude economy. Since the beginning of this year, various regions have been seizing new opportunities for the development of low altitude economy. Currently, nearly 30 provinces have included the development of low altitude economy in their local government work reports or issued relevant policies, providing support in industrial support, financial support, airspace opening, and other aspects to promote rapid industrial development. Our country has a market demand advantage in developing a low altitude economy. From the perspective of consumption, China has a huge population size. With the improvement of people's living standards and the transformation of consumption concepts, the demand for low altitude economy related services such as low altitude tourism, air commuting, and logistics distribution will continue to increase. From an industrial perspective, the demand for low altitude economy in fields such as agriculture and industry is also increasing day by day. For example, the agricultural sector requires crop protection drones to improve production efficiency, while industries such as electricity and oil require drone inspections to reduce costs and risks. China's development of low altitude economy also has industrial foundation advantages. After years of development, the technological level and product quality of low altitude aircraft in China have continuously improved, especially the outstanding advantages in civilian unmanned aerial vehicle technology and scale, which has become a shining business card of Chinese manufacturing. At present, China is the world's largest source of patented technology for civilian drones, with civilian drone sales accounting for about 70% of the global market share. At the same time, China has certain technological strength in fields such as artificial intelligence and 5G communication, which will empower the intelligent, information-based, and networked development of low altitude aircraft. We should fully utilize the leading advantages of the new generation of information technology and actively build a low altitude intelligent networking system. Low altitude intelligent networking is like a safety net in the air, which is an intelligent digital network created in the low altitude field using technologies such as Beidou, 5G, and artificial intelligence, and will escort the low altitude economy to soar. The low altitude intelligent networking system uses high-precision positioning and real-time communication to track aircraft, allocate routes reasonably, reduce collisions and other accidents, ensure low altitude flight safety, and improve the efficiency of airspace resource utilization; By improving the connectivity level of aircraft and infrastructure, reducing the requirement for single machine intelligence, and thus lowering the manufacturing cost of aircraft. At the same time, the large amount of flight data generated by the low altitude intelligent networking system, after processing and application, will give rise to new business models. We should coordinate and leverage the fundamental advantages of the new energy vehicle and drone industries. China's new energy vehicle industry has a leading advantage globally and shares certain technological similarities with the drone industry. Both industries are facing issues such as energy endurance, security, and communication reliability. Intelligent networking technology can be applied not only to automobiles to achieve connected vehicles, autonomous driving, etc., but also to drones to achieve remote control, autonomous flight, cluster flight, etc. The integrated development of "drones+cars" not only enables the sharing of new technologies and the overcoming of common challenges, but also contributes to the construction of a three-dimensional transportation network integrating air and land, optimizing resource allocation, and cultivating new industrial growth points. To develop towards the sky, low altitude economy is highly anticipated. The low altitude economy is still in its infancy, and it is necessary to plan and coordinate in advance to avoid rushing forward. Only by building on existing advantages can we unleash our potential and soar high. (New Society)
