The 2024 China Latin America Civilization Dialogue will be held on the 6th in Lima, the capital of Peru. More than 150 political leaders, experts, scholars, and business people from more than 10 Latin American countries, including China, Peru, and Argentina, conducted discussions and exchanges around the forum theme of "Civilization Inheritance and Modernization Development", providing intellectual support and exploring cooperation paths for China and Latin America to strengthen cultural exchanges, mutual learning, inheritance and development, and work together on the path of modernization. Cesar Biches, Secretary of the Government and Digital Transformation Secretariat of the Peruvian Ministerial Conference, stated in his opening speech that the friendly exchanges between Peru and China have a long history and broad cooperation space in digital transformation. Qian Kai Port is a model of cooperation between the two sides. Both sides actively understand each other's cultural backgrounds and continuously bring the two countries closer through digital transformation and cultural cooperation. In the view of Rebecca Ramos, Secretary General of the Latin American Academy of Social Sciences, in a contemporary world characterized by profound changes, global geopolitics are becoming increasingly complex, and knowledge sharing and cultural exchange have become extremely important. Latin American Chinese cooperation is an excellent example of building effective bridges for dialogue between different civilizations. The President of the Latin American Parliament, Rolando Gonzalez, stated in a video speech that modernization must adapt to one's own culture, and promoting modernization development should be based on one's own culture. The Chinese guests expressed that both China and Latin America should adhere to the equal emphasis on cultural heritage and innovation, jointly explore the path of modernization development, and create cultural achievements that transcend time and space and are full of eternal charm. Both sides should also persist in promoting cultural exchanges and cooperation, so that the achievements can benefit a wider range of people. At the opening ceremony of the forum, the Institute of Contemporary China and the World and 53 Chinese and foreign institutions, including the Latin American Academy of Social Sciences, initiated the establishment of the "Academic Partner Network of Global Civilization Dialogue", jointly released the Lima initiative of the "Academic Partner Network of Global Civilization Dialogue", and held the launching ceremony of the English and Western versions of the "Six Outlooks of Chinese path to modernization" series, which was planned and published by the China Foreign Languages Bureau and Chongqing Publishing Group. The 2024 China Latin America Civilization Dialogue is guided by the State Council Information Office, the Ministry of Culture of Peru, the Latin American Parliament, and hosted by the China Foreign Languages Administration, the Latin American Academy of Social Sciences, and the Latin American Council for Social Sciences.
