Wenling, Zhejiang: Learning to Make Rice Cake and Inheriting Folk Customs

On November 5, 2024, at a rice cake workshop in Umbrella Temple Village, Binhai Town, Wenling City, Zhejiang Province, students from Binhai Town Central Primary School were learning to make rice cakes and experiencing the fun of making rice cakes. To enhance students' hands-on practical abilities, on that day, Binhai Town Central Primary School held a themed activity called "Making Rice Cake to Welcome the Beginning of Winter". The "Double Reduction" practice classroom was moved into farmers' homes, and primary school students were organized to watch and participate in learning how to make rice cake, allowing children to learn about local traditional customs and folk culture through interactive learning and experience of making rice cake.
