Preliminary calculations show that the total value of marine production in the first three quarters was 7.7 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%. The ability to guarantee marine resource elements has steadily improved. In the first three quarters, the approved sea area in China increased by 6.7% year-on-year, and the investment involved in projects exceeded 740 billion yuan. Ocean energy production has steadily increased, with offshore crude oil and natural gas production increasing by 5.9% and 8.8% respectively year-on-year, and offshore wind power generation increasing by 29.5% year-on-year. The supply capacity of the 'blue granary' continues to strengthen, and the domestic production of marine aquatic products has increased by over 4% year-on-year. The main traditional marine industries are steadily improving. The marine shipbuilding industry continues to develop vigorously, with the number of new orders, completed shipbuilding, and orders held by ships increasing by over 45%, 31%, and 31% respectively year-on-year. The international market share of the three major shipbuilding indicators continues to lead. The ocean transportation industry continues to improve, with ocean freight volume and cargo turnover increasing by 5.6% and 8.5% respectively year-on-year; The total import and export volume of sea transportation increased by 1.6% year-on-year, among which the import and export amount of ships, wind turbines and parts increased by 81.8% and 23.7% respectively. The marine tourism industry is steadily improving, with a turnover of 2.6 billion person kilometers of marine tourists, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. The cumulative passenger flow of domestic cruise ships in China has increased by 11.0 times year-on-year. The development of emerging marine industries is accelerating. The manufacturing industry of marine engineering equipment continues to consolidate its positive trend, with the amount of newly undertaken marine engineering orders and the amount of held orders increasing by 167.0% and 17.8% respectively year-on-year. The research and development of marine drugs and bioproducts industry is progressing in an orderly manner. The steady development of seawater desalination has been maintained, and the 50000 ton/day seawater desalination project at Dongying Port in Shandong Province has been completed and put into operation. New breakthroughs have been made in the innovation of marine renewable energy technology, with the megawatt scale tidal power generation unit "Fenjin" accumulating over 4.1 million kilowatt hours of grid connected power generation. The industrial scale offshore wind power hydrogen production demonstration project has successfully and stably produced hydrogen in Zhuhai, Guangdong. The marine information service industry has accelerated its development. The marine ranch stereo monitoring and intelligent control system developed by the Institute of Oceanography, Chinese Academy of Sciences has started its trial operation. The Internet portal service system of the National Marine Science Data Center has downloaded 27TB of data (terabytes) in the first three quarters. The overall production and operation of maritime enterprises are improving. Among the more than 900 enterprises surveyed, nearly 80% of them maintained a stable or increasing average number of workers in the first three quarters compared to the same period last year, which is basically the same as the first half of the year; Enterprise innovation investment continues to increase, with 70% of enterprises maintaining stable or increasing R&D funds and personnel numbers year-on-year; Enterprise expectations are positive, with over 60% and 80% of companies expecting their annual revenue and average number of workers to remain stable or increase year-on-year.
