A research report released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on the 31st showed that 90% of foreign-funded enterprises surveyed in the third quarter were "satisfied" or above with the evaluation of China's business environment, and nearly 50% of foreign-funded enterprises believed that the attractiveness of the Chinese market had increased. According to the "Research Report on the Business Environment for Foreign Investment in China for the Third Quarter of 2024" released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on the same day, the highest proportion of interviewed foreign enterprises rated as "satisfied" or above in indicators such as "market access", "obtaining business premises", and "handling graduation procedures". The report shows that the interviewed foreign-funded enterprises continue to have a positive outlook on the Chinese market. Among them, 41.67% of the surveyed European companies believe that the prospects of the Chinese market are "good" this year, an increase of 14.17 percentage points compared to the previous period. Nearly 50% of the surveyed foreign-funded enterprises believe that the attractiveness of the Chinese market has increased, with a month on month increase of about 2 percentage points. Nearly 48% of the surveyed European companies believe that the attractiveness of the Chinese market has increased, with a month on month increase of 5.42 percentage points; 60% of surveyed American companies believe that the attractiveness of the Chinese market has increased, with a month on month increase of 15.26 percentage points. According to the report, the willingness of the interviewed foreign-funded enterprises to invest in China has increased, among which the interviewed European enterprises have a stronger willingness to increase capital. The eastern region is the main area for foreign-funded enterprises to increase capital, accounting for 59.52%. Expanding production lines in China or achieving digital transformation is the main way for interviewed foreign-funded enterprises to increase capital, accounting for more than half. (New Society)
