The Jinluo dance is popular in Meilin, Pinglue and other villages in Zuoteng Yao Township, Tiandong County, Guangxi, deep in the mountains. It is a traditional dance of the local Yao ethnic group. With the changes of the times, the golden gong dance gradually evolved into the main dance for celebrating the prosperous year and celebrating the new year in Yaoshan. Ruan Guilu was born in Meilin Village, Zuoteng Yao Township, Tiandong County, Guangxi in December 1948. At the age of 14, he learned the Golden Gong dance from his father. To improve his skills, he started learning from his maternal grandfather at the age of 16. Through diligent study, Ruan Guilu gradually inherited and developed the skills of the Golden Gong Dance performance. After the establishment of the Meilin Village Yao Jinluo Dance Art Troupe in 2004, Ruan Guilu served as an art consultant and coach, actively teaching Jinluo dance skills. The Meilin Village Yao Jinluo Dance Art Troupe has participated in various cultural and artistic activities and performances, receiving high praise.
