On October 29th, the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce released three rankings: "Top 100 Private Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2024", "Top 100 Private Enterprises in Manufacturing Industry in Guangdong Province in 2024", and "Top 50 Private Enterprises in Service Industry in Guangdong Province in 2024". Private economy is a new force to promote Chinese path to modernization and an important foundation for high-quality development. In Guangdong, the private economy accounts for only about 50% of the province's gross domestic product and contributes over 70% of technological innovation achievements. What information do these three rankings reveal as a barometer of Guangdong's private economy? Four leading enterprises have made steady progress, with revenues exceeding 400 billion yuan. It can be seen that the revenue scale of leading private enterprises in Guangdong will steadily increase in 2023. Huawei Investment Holdings Limited, the top ranked company on the list, has performed outstandingly. As of the end of 2023, Huawei holds over 140000 valid authorized patents worldwide, accumulating a large number of innovative achievements. Its release of the native HarmonyOS operating system has also achieved breakthroughs in core technologies.
