On the evening of October 26th, the 13th China Quyi Peony Award Ceremony and Huimin Performance, jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Quyi Association, Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, and Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, was successfully held in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. The China Quyi Peony Award was established in 2000 and is the highest award in the national Quyi profession jointly sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Quyi Association, approved by the central government. It is an important award highly valued by the Quyi community, eagerly awaited by Quyi artists and practitioners, and widely concerned by all sectors of society. It is selected every two years, and this year marks the 13th edition. This year's Peony Awards received a total of 465 programs. After preliminary evaluation, 4 sub regional competitions, and final evaluation, a total of 5 program awards, 6 performance awards, 4 literature awards, and 5 newcomer awards were awarded. Among them, Nanyin's "Nanyin Soul", Nantong rap "Flower Second Marquis Selling Flowers", Suzhou ballad "Shepherd Pointing to Apricot Blossom Village", Lu'an drum "Peony Blossoms with National Fragrance", and folk art sketch "Unable to Love" won the program award; Zeng Lian, Shi Jinyu, Hou Honglian, Bai Kainan, Sun Mingze, and Liu Yangyang won performance awards; The Taizhou drum lyrics "Eternal Love for a Thousand Years" (written by Shang Wenbo), the folk art sketch "Father" (written by Zhang Ying and Wang Hong), the cross-talk "Meeting is the 'Yuan'" (written by Gao Xiaopan and Liu Yaqun), and the cross-talk "Heart Mate" (written by Liu Ji) have won literary awards; Zhong Xingyi, Ruan Jikai, Qi Ye, Shi Wei, and Zhang Chaoshuai were awarded the Newcomer Award. At the same time, in order to commend the outstanding achievements of Quyi artists and their outstanding contributions to the Quyi cause, after research and decision by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, two comrades, Jin Lisheng, a Suzhou Pingtan performer, and Zhang Yunhua, a single string performer, are awarded the honorary title of "China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Lifetime Achievement Award (Quyi)". On the evening of the 26th, famous performers gathered in the opera hall of Nantong Grand Theatre, creating a festive atmosphere. The entire performance showcases classic works and incorporates innovative masterpieces, with over 200 veteran, middle-aged, and young performers performing together. The arrangement of the Quyi music and painting "The Longest Rhyme of Qu" is exquisite, and the performance artist Wang Gang serves as the commentator and lecturer, leading the audience to look back at those famous masterpieces with long melodies; Li Jing, Zeng Lian, Wang Chao, Xiong Zhuying and others brought clips of Kuaiban's "Attack on the White Tiger Troupe", Sichuan Qingyin's "cuckoo cuckoo", Shandong Kuaishu's "Wu Song Beats the Tiger", and Shaanbei Shushu's "Yellow Wind Rises", combining videos and oral performances by famous quyi artists to pay tribute to the classics and showcase the profound and rich cultural heritage of Zhonghua quyi; The Quyi music and painting show "Star Striving for Brilliance" showcased its unique skills, while Chen Liang, Wang Shun, and Zhang Lijing performed the Shanghai rap "Jinling Tower", the duet "Top Lamp", and the Xihe drum "Linglong Tower" with great enthusiasm. Xu Yanyan, Lin Xiaodong, Ji Mingliang, and Shi Wei showcased the four treasures of Nanyin, "Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix", Sichuan Jinqian Ban, Shaanxi Kuaiban, Plum Blossom Drum, and other outstanding skills that were dazzling. Actor Han Xue sang the song "Qianmen Love Bowl Tea", while singer Cai Guoqing sang "Peony Blossoms Towards the Future", expressing good wishes for the prosperity and development of folk art; In the Quyi music and painting series "Quyuan Yimei" by CCTV Children's Channel host Ju Ping, performances of Henan Zhuizi's "Sima Guang Smashing the Jar" and Errenzhuan's "Little New Year's Greetings" by Chen Shengli, Zheng Jian, Zhang Chunfeng, and others vividly demonstrate the traditional art of passing on the torch and vitality through the form of old leading young and master leading apprentices; Integrating the cultural heritage of Jiangsu and the regional characteristics of Nantong, Sheng Xiaoyun and Wu Weidong performed the Pingtan "Nantong Praise", while Wu Nong's soft language integrated Mei'an Guqin, nursery rhymes, and ring acrobatics; The popular cross-talk and skits are also full of highlights.
