In Yinchuan, Ningxia, Li Qiang came to the Ningxia Desert Greening and Sand Industry Development Base to listen to reports on the promotion of the Yellow River "Several Bends" Ningxia Campaign and desertification control in the whole region. He walked into the forest and sat around to exchange ideas with desert control heroes such as Wang Youde. Li Qiang highly praised the local cadres and masses for decades of relay efforts in sand prevention and control, creating the miracle of "green progress and sand retreat". He encouraged everyone to inherit the enthusiasm and spirit of sand control, adhere to scientific methods, improve regional cooperation mechanisms, strive to improve the ecological environment, and develop diversified businesses to drive people's income growth and prosperity. In the coal to oil project area of Guoneng Ning Coal Company, Li Qiang gained a detailed understanding of the development of modern coal chemical industry, inspected products and applications. At the 2 million kilowatt composite photovoltaic base in Ningdong, Li Qiang listened to reports on Ningxia's construction of a new energy system and the development of power transmission channels. He said that energy security and safety cannot be ignored for a moment. We must continue to carry out energy technology research and development, promote on-site deep processing of coal resources, and fully leverage the comprehensive effects. To cater to more production and daily application scenarios, we need to increase policy guidance and support, make good use of building facades, especially roof spaces, and further unleash the potential for the development of new energy such as photovoltaics.
In Ordos and Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, Li Qiang conducted on-site research on the comprehensive management of soil and water conservation in the Longtouguai Ecological Clean Small Watershed of Xiliugou, the construction of a locked edge forest belt on the northern edge of the Kubuqi Desert, the ecological management of the front slope of Daqing Mountain, the scientific research and promotion of grass seed industry by Mengcao Group, and the technological innovation of Yili Smart Health Valley dairy industry. He stressed that it is of great significance to further promote the construction of projects such as the "three north" shelter forest system and build an important ecological security barrier in northern China. We must adhere to local conditions, efficiently integrate resources from all parties, and form a greater synergy for ecological protection and restoration. Support eligible enterprises to conduct basic research and provide support for technological innovation and industrial development in related fields. We will vigorously develop characteristic industries such as desert forests and fruits, traditional Chinese medicinal herbs, ecotourism, and ecological agriculture and animal husbandry, turning the desert into a treasure trove and striving to achieve a win-win situation in terms of ecological, economic, and social benefits.
Li Qiang inspected the integrated project of sand prevention and control, wind and photovoltaic power in Dalate Banner, and Jinshan Thermal Power Company of Inner Mongolia Energy Group. He pointed out that it is necessary to coordinate the comprehensive prevention and control of desertification and the construction of energy bases, give more prominence to the development of new and clean energy, and promote the multi energy complementarity and deep integration of traditional and new energy. We must vigorously promote the clean and efficient utilization of coal, further improve the efficiency of power generation and heating, and effectively ensure the warmth of the people during the winter.
