On June 30, 2024, after seven years of construction, the Shenzhen China Channel was officially opened to traffic, breaking the physical and geographical barrier of the the Pearl River Estuary. The travel time from Shenzhen to Zhongshan has been reduced from 2 hours to 30 minutes. The crispy grass carp from Zhongshan can reach Shenzhen more quickly and radiate further to the eastern Guangdong region through the Shenzhen Zhongshan Passage. At the same time, a large number of tourists from the eastern Guangdong region also flock to Zhongshan through the Shenzhen Zhongshan Passage. During the period after the opening of the Shenzhen Zhongshan Expressway, many netizens joked that Shenzhen diners had eaten up all the pigeons in Zhongshan, resulting in a shortage of pigeons in Zhongshan. After three channel changes, the "Mingyang Tiancheng" continued southward through the Shenzhong Channel, passed through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, and finally arrived at the Sihai Wind Farm in Qingzhou, Yangjiang, Guangdong after 72 hours of towing. As a local enterprise that grew up in Zhongshan, Mingyang can be said to have emerged by the sea. Backed by the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Mingyang has sparked waves of innovation in offshore wind power technology through repeated self transcendence, constantly expanding the boundaries of offshore wind power development.
