On October 15th, the first phase of the 136th China Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Canton Fair") kicked off in Guangzhou, with the theme of "advanced manufacturing", showcasing a batch of high-tech and high value-added products, highlighting advanced industries and technological support, and showcasing new quality productivity. It is reported that the total area of the first offline exhibition is 520000 square meters, with nearly 25000 booths and more than 11000 companies participating. The exhibition topics include 5 sections and 19 exhibition areas, including electronic appliances, industrial manufacturing, lighting and electrical, hardware tools, vehicles, and two wheelers. A large number of new enterprises, products, technologies, and business models have emerged. Among them, there are over 8700 booths for topics such as electronics and home appliances, new energy, new energy vehicles and smart travel, industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing. There are about 3600 companies related to "new three types", digital technology, and intelligent manufacturing. There are 1500 booths in special areas such as smart life, industrial robots, and intelligent manufacturing production lines. A batch of humanoid robots, intelligent devices, and unmanned driving products will debut for the first time. The first phase of enterprises has shown outstanding performance in intelligent manufacturing and green development, exhibiting a batch of high-tech and high value-added products representing new quality productivity, covering all aspects of industrial production and daily life. The expected display of new products and products with independent intellectual property rights at this event exceeds one million pieces. Xiao Lu, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, said that since the current Canton Fair, with the strong support of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, the Canton Fair will issue exhibition certificates for original inventions, brand trademarks, appearance innovations and other products exhibited for the first time, so as to better help enterprises apply for patents and protect intellectual property rights. This year's Canton Fair further optimized the online platform functions and launched the Canton Fair App, which facilitates both exhibitors and visitors to access the online platform through their mobile phones, achieving unified online and offline authentication, one-stop store opening, one click product search, and planning procurement itineraries. As of October 10th, a total of about 810000 exhibits have been uploaded to the first exhibition area, including 145000 new products, 98000 products with independent intellectual property rights, 129000 green and low-carbon products, and 84000 smart products. Digitization and greenization are important trends in the development of international trade. As a barometer and indicator of foreign trade, the Canton Fair actively conforms to this trend. According to the pre exhibition survey, 57.8% of the participating enterprises in the Canton Fair used big data, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet and other technical tools to transform and improve the industrial chain, and 55.9% of the enterprises had patents for appearance, utility, invention, etc. in the green and low-carbon field. In the new energy zone, for the first time, a new theme of hydrogen energy has been added, and a new energy storage product zone has been established, attracting more than 110 new energy exhibitors and enriching the theme of green energy exhibitions. In terms of import exhibition, the first phase of the Canton Fair attracted 213 enterprises from 28 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition, including the exhibition groups from 7 countries and regions including Türkiye, Egypt, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan, China, China, focusing on electronic appliances, hardware tools, mechanical equipment and other products.
