On October 14th local time, Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz jointly attended the completion ceremony of the Gwadar New International Airport project at the Prime Minister's Office in Pakistan.
Li Qiang stated that the new Gwadar International Airport is a key facility for Gwadar Port to become a regional connectivity hub, and an important symbol of the further deepening of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor construction. Since the launch of the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, fruitful results have been achieved through the joint cooperation of both sides, playing a positive role in promoting Pakistan's economic and social development and regional integration process. China is willing to work with Pakistan to continue to work together, adhere to the principle of jointly building and sharing, openness, green integrity, high standards, and people's livelihood sustainability, and further build the China Pakistan Economic Corridor into a high-quality demonstration project of jointly building the "the Belt and Road".
Li Qiang pointed out that the new Gwadar International Airport is also a vivid portrayal of the special friendship between China and Pakistan. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders, the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan continues to deepen, and the unwavering friendship between China and Pakistan has withstood the test of international changes and is unbreakable. Facing the future, China is willing to continue to work together with Pakistan to accelerate the construction of a closer China Pakistan community of common destiny in the new era and better benefit the two peoples.
Xia Bazi stated that the Gwadar New International Airport project is another iconic symbol of the friendship between Pakistan and China. The completion of the project will fully unleash the hub function of Gwadar Port and bring unprecedented development opportunities to Pakistan.
