At around 1am on October 5th, while patrolling the waters near Xiwan, the enforcement boat of the bureau discovered a high-powered motorboat with its navigation lights turned off. The cargo was packed in a large number of gray woven bags, and the appearance was very suspicious. The marine law enforcement officer immediately approached and shouted for the motorboat to stop for inspection, but the motorboat refused to stop and accelerated its escape. After more than 10 minutes of pursuit, the suspect found that his escape was unsuccessful and abandoned the ship to escape. After inspection, the tail of the motorboat is equipped with three high-power gasoline engines, and the cabin is loaded with about 5.8 tons of salted beef louvers. No legal source procedures or inspection and quarantine certificates for this batch of goods were found on site, indicating suspected smuggling. In addition, the bureau also seized 6 suspected smuggling cases in the waters near Xiwan Port, Meishitan, Dongxing Qi'ersha Port at 9:00 on the 2nd, 16:00 on the 3rd, 6:00 on the 4th, 7:00 on the 4th, 7:00 on the 6th, and 9:00 on the 6th. Three individuals involved were arrested on site, and 5 motorboats involved were seized. A total of 9.55 tons of frozen products such as beef offal, beef tripe, sea cucumber, and a batch of miscellaneous goods such as circuit boards and frequency converters were seized.
