Guangxi is deepening the promotion of the Silver Age Teacher Support Teaching Activity, recruiting 1500 people every year to promote the high-quality development of assisted schools. After retiring from Guangxi University, she came to Hechi College, which was supported by the school, to teach two courses, "Engineering Drawing" and "Engineering CAD". She exceeded the required teaching workload by 64 hours every year. Su An, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Hechi College, introduced that Hechi College became one of the first batch of universities in Guangxi to receive support from the Ministry of Education's Silver Age Teachers Support Western Plan in 2021. Over the past three years, Yinling teachers have been responsible for teaching 5808 hours of 135 courses in 34 majors, covering approximately 9800 students. In recent years, Guangxi has vigorously promoted the spirit of educators, deeply explored the potential of the aging society, mobilized the enthusiasm of excellent retired teachers to continue to devote themselves to the education cause, and through "building bridges," "building platforms," "building warm nests," etc., made "silver age" a "leader," promoted the rational layout and coordinated development of talent areas, and gradually expanded from primary and secondary schools to universities, basically forming a work system for silver age teachers to serve education at all levels and types. Nowadays, the recruitment of the "Silver Age Plan" in Guangxi has increased from around 600 people per year to around 1500 people. Guangxi's assisted universities fully leverage the professional guidance, demonstration, and cutting-edge radiation role of silver aged teachers, adopt mentoring methods such as "teacher mentoring" and "pairing", accelerate the construction of the assisted school's teaching team, and fully utilize the high-quality educational resources and high-level platforms of the supported universities to promote their high-quality development.
