The reporter learned from the fourth quarter press conference of the China Association for Science and Technology on the 10th that the main activities of the 2024 World Youth Scientists Summit (hereinafter referred to as the "Youth Science Conference") are scheduled to be held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang from November 15th to 17th. The summit is themed "Gathering Talents from All over the World to Create a Better Future" and focuses on the annual topic of "Youth Innovation Shapes New Quality Productivity". The conference has set up a content framework of "1+1+13+N", which includes three major activities: one plenary session, one technology carnival, 13 sub forums and special forums, as well as "N" overseas special sessions and intercity interactive series activities. The plenary session of the Youth Science Association sets up agendas such as speeches and recommendations by leaders, award ceremonies for awards such as the Sustainable Development Young Scientist Award, and keynote speeches. The keynote speech segment will invite scientists to give presentations on topics such as "Technological Innovation and Youth Leadership", "Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Future Technology", and "New Energy Revolution and Sustainable Development". Currently, the keynote speakers, including representatives of Nobel laureates and important young science and technology award winners, have been basically confirmed. The Youth Science Association will hold its first technology carnival event this year - Gravity π. During this period, there will also be youth open forums such as roundtables, presentations, roadshows, as well as activities such as science cafes, book sharing, music appreciation, and sharing of "small yet beautiful" technological explorations. At that time, a group of technology companies and sustainable friendly brand merchants will debut at the carnival. The sub forums and thematic forums of the Youth Science and Technology Association are launched from four dimensions: technological frontiers and future trends, international scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, technological innovation and achievement transformation, and youth scientific and technological talent cultivation, focusing on topics in the fields of digital economy, life and health, and new materials. It is worth mentioning that the Youth Science Association has launched public registration for the first time this year, achieving a transformation from "I want you to come" to "I want to come". During the conference, the "Light of Science" torch relay activity will be carried out, using drones and land routes to relay the torch of technology and light up the "Tree of Science". The first Youth Science Conference was held in Wenzhou, Zhejiang in 2019. Gong Fei, Deputy Minister of the Organization and Personnel Department of the China Association for Science and Technology, stated at the press conference that in the past five years, the Youth Science and Technology Association has become an important brand for China's youth science and technology diplomacy and an important platform for connecting global youth science and technology talent resources.
