When it comes to the future, the 8 representatives also have their own thoughts. Several representatives have pointed out that there is still a lack of high-level female scientific and technological talents in high-precision technology research, and further efforts should be made to unleash the innovative vitality of women. Previously, the government has introduced a series of policies and measures to support female scientific and technological talents to play a greater role in technological innovation. The relaxation of age restrictions for female applicants in the national talent plan fully reflects the care and attention given to female science and technology workers. Wu Liuji, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Wheat and Corn Crops co founded by Henan Agricultural University, believes that, from the perspective of effectiveness, these policy measures still have room for improvement. She suggested that in the evaluation of scientific research projects and the selection of high-level talents, the proportion of female scientific and technological workers could be directly increased based on the number of applicants.
