Lightly push the joystick and use integrated remote sensing spatial information technology to identify, monitor, trace, and collect evidence of suspected illegal sites such as forest and grass destruction, surface water pollution, etc. that may harm public interests; Typing on the keyboard, using fund investigation and analysis techniques to determine the source and destination of the funds involved in the case; Rotate the knob and use chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis technology to accurately and efficiently analyze and identify complex substance components; ... On September 20, the Supreme People's Procuratorate held the 46th procuratorial open day activity with the theme of "science and technology help procurators handle cases, and protect the country from the rule of law". A total of more than 70 people, including some deputies to the National People's Congress, CPPCC members, experts and scholars, and representatives of teachers and students from three high schools in Beijing, walked into the information research center of the highest procuratorial technology, and observed the development and innovation of procuratorial technology applications, "immersive" experience of environmental testing, food and drug, public interest litigation quick inspection, forensic laboratories and other procuratorial equipment applications in a "zero distance" way. Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, stated at the welcoming ceremony that in recent years, the procuratorial organs have relied on the "One Procuratorial Network" to enable more than 3600 procuratorates across the country to handle cases in the same business system according to the same process, making case information sharing more convenient and case handling procedures more standardized; Deeply implement the digital prosecutorial strategy, use big data legal supervision models to discover common problems in a certain field or industry, and realize the transformation of legal supervision concepts and methods from "case supervision" to "case like governance". Practice has proven that the achievement of the goal of "making the people feel fairness and justice in every judicial case" cannot be achieved without technological support. We need to further strengthen the integration of prosecutorial work and science and technology, continuously use advanced technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and satellite remote sensing to deeply empower all aspects of the prosecutorial and case handling process, and inject technological wings into the high-quality and efficient handling of every case. The Technical Information Research Center of the Supreme People's Procuratorate is the only unit of the Supreme People's Procuratorate engaged in natural science research and application. Its main responsibility is to fully and effectively utilize science and technology to assist judicial work, promote better and faster realization of fairness and justice. During the visit, a typical case of technology assisted prosecution and case handling caught the attention of teachers and students - a father and son running a night market, and their son had a conflict with a customer dining, injuring multiple people. When the police called out, the father insisted that he had committed the crime himself and wanted to take over the responsibility for his son. After the on-site surveillance video was processed for clarity, it was still unable to confirm the perpetrator with a knife. Therefore, the prosecution comprehensively applied gait and anthropometric measurement techniques to analyze the gait characteristics of the father and son on the night of the crime, and determine the accurate location of the perpetrator at the time of the crime. On this basis, based on the proportional relationship of perspective projection, the height of the perpetrator is calculated by measuring the distance between the surveillance camera and the ground, the actual length of ground markers, and identifying the real culprit based on comprehensive information on site. Faced with irrefutable evidence, the father and son finally confessed to their criminal behavior. The open day activity not only makes the knowledge in textbooks vivid and interesting, but also gives us the opportunity to operate and explore in practice, opening up a new perspective on understanding the world through interactive learning Guo Tianni, a high school sophomore at Beijing No.4 Middle School, said. On the one hand, this activity can help students establish a sense of fairness and justice, and on the other hand, it enables them to have a more detailed understanding of prosecutorial work and a more intuitive feeling of technology assisting prosecutorial cases Liu Lu, a teacher at Beijing No.11 Middle School, said that she will take this event as an opportunity to further strengthen the popularization of legal knowledge, let the light of technology illuminate students' learning and life, and build the dream of rule of law. Currently, science and technology have gradually played an initial, fundamental, and critical role in judicial cases, further enhancing the ability of procuratorial organs to handle traditional cases, while continuously improving the level of handling cases in new fields such as public interest litigation. In the 'South Four Lakes Case', the procuratorial organs used remote sensing technology to screen 256 pollution points in 1266 square kilometers of lake surface, solving cross regional and long-term problems, guiding prosecutors to accurately collect water samples and fixed evidence, and using science and technology to solve the problem of discovering clues of public welfare damage in large watersheds and long-term water bodies and tracking the effectiveness of rectification Liu Zhe, Director of the Technical Information Center of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, gave an example to introduce. Zhang Zijian, a senior one student of Beijing No. 11 Middle School, said with deep feeling, "Through the 'immersion' experience of the solemnity and justice of the law, especially after understanding that satellite remote sensing technology provides support for procuratorial public interest litigation, I am very shocked by the deep integration of science and technology and the rule of law. I look forward to integrating this harvest into my study and life, and striving to become the builder and guardian of the rule of law society in the future. It is also necessary to promote the innovative development of procuratorial work and maintain social fairness and justice. It is hoped that the procuratorial organs will adhere to the digital procuratorial revolution to accelerate the modernization of procuratorial work and better serve Chinese path to modernization.
