This morning (12th), the 3rd Chinese Documentary Film Conference held a launch conference in Beijing, announcing that the conference will be held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province from October 24th to 26th, and relevant main visual posters will also be released at the same time. The 3rd Chinese Documentary Film Conference has set up main activities such as the opening ceremony and keynote forum, collection and recommendation of Chinese documentary films, exhibition of Chinese documentary films, promotion of new films, "Golden Seagull" promotion ceremony and closing ceremony. Among them, as the central part of the conference, the Chinese documentary film collection and recommendation activity has added the collection of stage art works to the scope of recommended documentary films. Starting from September 12th, the activity is open to Chinese documentary film production institutions and documentary film practitioners to collect Chinese documentary films (including science and education films and stage art films) produced between January 1st, 2022 and September 30th, 2024. The deadline for collection is September 30th. The conference will select five categories of special recommended annual documentary films, including cultural and historical, scientific and natural, and social documentary films, as well as four categories of recommended individuals and special contribution documentary film institutions, including director and photography, from the shortlisted films. The final recommendation results will be announced on the evening of the "Golden Seagull" Awards Ceremony and Closing Ceremony. In addition, the synchronized launch of the third season of the "Impression Zhuhai" short video and micro script collection activity has added a "micro script" category on the basis of the original "short video", and collected original works from the global public, media, video creation institutions, etc. through new media platforms.
