From over 4 million party members at the founding of the People's Republic of China to the world's largest Marxist political party, the construction of the Party has been comprehensively strengthened in the magnificent historical process. Especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has deeply promoted the new great project of Party building in the new era, further enhanced the Party's creativity, cohesion, and combat effectiveness, and led the "China" giant ship to ride the waves and move forward without hesitation.
Ensure that the Party remains the strong leadership core of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, as the backbone of the work
The key to running China's affairs well lies in the Party.
History and reality have proved that without the CPC, there would be no new China and no great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. To govern our world's largest political party well, we must adhere to the comprehensive leadership of the Party, especially the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, adhere to democratic centralism, and ensure that the Party always takes charge of the overall situation and coordinates all parties.
On January 4, 2024, a meeting was held in Zhongnanhai, Beijing for a whole day. General Secretary Xi Jinping presided over the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, listened to the work reports of the Party groups of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Supreme People's Court, and the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and listened to the work report of the Central Secretariat.
In recent years, the Party Central Committee has listened to the work reports of the "Five Major Teams" and the Central Secretariat every year. This has become an important institutional arrangement for strengthening and maintaining the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee.

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, we have carried out rectification and reorganization of the Party, strengthened internal education, reorganized grassroots Party organizations, improved the conditions for Party members, opposed bureaucracy, commandism, and corruption and waste. In the new era of reform, opening up, and socialist modernization construction, we have raised the construction of Party conduct, clean governance, and anti-corruption struggle to a height that is related to the survival of the Party and the country. At the former residence of Comrade Mao Zedong in Yangjialing, a photo of Comrade Mao Zedong welcoming Huang Yanpei and his delegation to the airport for inspection caught the attention of the General Secretary.
In 1945, it was in a cave dwelling in Yan'an that Comrade Mao Zedong gave the first answer to Huang Yanpei's question about the "historical cycle rate", which was to "let the people supervise the government".

As a fundamental internal party regulation that regulates the behavior of party organizations and members, the revision of the Party Discipline and Disciplinary Regulations further tightens the "fence" of the system and sends a strong signal that discipline will become stricter as it progresses.
Valuing the strengthening of the Party's institutional construction is a fine tradition and political advantage of our Party, and an important tool for governing the Party.
Since the founding of the People's Republic of China 75 years ago, the position of the Party's institutional construction has become more prominent, the Party's internal legal system has been continuously improved, and the ideas of governing the Party through institutions and rules have become clearer, playing an important role in ensuring the comprehensive strengthening of Party building.
From the regulations on disciplinary punishment and accountability, to some norms on intra party political life in the new situation, to the first "Regulations on the Work of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the CPC"... Since the new era, the newly formulated and revised intra party laws and regulations account for more than 70% of the current effective intra party laws and regulations, which has become a period of the most fruitful system, the most sound system, and the strictest system implementation in the history of the Party.
On July 1, 2021, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China that our party has "formed a relatively complete internal legal system".
This significant achievement in the construction of the system deeply reflects the remarkable results of our party's continuous promotion of the establishment of rules and regulations over the past century, especially the comprehensive deepening of the reform of the party's construction system since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Improve the leadership system of the Communist Party of China, and introduce internal regulations such as the "Several Provisions of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Strengthening and Maintaining the Centralized and Unified Leadership of the Party Central Committee" and the "Regulations on Requesting and Reporting Major Matters of the Communist Party of China", making the comprehensive leadership of the Party more institutionalized and standardized;
