The 2024 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Forum will be held in Xiamen on September 10th. On the 3rd, Zhu Ke'er, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, announced that all preparatory work has been basically completed and the follow-up preparations will be solidly carried out. The 2024 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Forum is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of Fujian Province, and co organized by the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Innovation Base, the People's Government of Xiamen City, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Fujian Province, and the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It has been included in the official activity plan of the BRICS Russia Year. The forum theme is "Building High Quality Partnership Together and Embarking on a New Journey of New Industrialization Cooperation", which mainly includes the opening ceremony, ministerial roundtable, industry summit dialogue, achievement release, and special seminars. The forum will last for two days and will also host supporting activities such as the award ceremony of the BRICS Industrial Innovation Competition, the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Exhibition, and the BRICS Industrial Cooperation Empowerment Platform Exhibition. The BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership is committed to deepening cooperation in areas such as industrialization, digitization, and innovation among BRICS countries, and has been unanimously welcomed by all BRICS countries. Zhu Ke'er said that since 2019, the Partnership Forum has been successfully held for five sessions, becoming an annual event for partnerships. It has played a positive role in policy exchanges, strengthening experience sharing, deepening practical cooperation, and promoting industrial docking. In 2024, the BRICS countries will achieve historic expansion, and the appeal and influence of BRICS cooperation will continue to rise, providing a broader space for building partnerships. The 2024 Partnership Forum has also received high attention from BRICS countries and other developing and emerging market countries. Overall, the 2024 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Forum will highlight four highlights: firstly, it will reflect representativeness and have a wider range of cooperative partners. As the first forum after the expansion of BRICS membership, the forum has received high attention and active participation from BRICS and "BRICS+" countries. This forum not only invited BRICS countries, but also set up guest countries, widely inviting representatives from a total of 40 countries as well as international organizations such as the New Development Bank, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and the Digital Cooperation Organization to participate. At present, representatives from 31 countries have confirmed their attendance. Among them, 9 countries including Russia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Bolivia, Cuba, Guyana, Morocco, Nigeria, Tajikistan, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, as well as 4 countries' ambassadors to China, the President of the New Development Bank, and high-level representatives of international organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and the Digital Cooperation Organization have confirmed their attendance at the forum. The forum also invited representatives from companies, think tanks, universities, industry organizations, financial institutions, and other organizations from BRICS and BRICS+countries to participate. The heads of leading domestic enterprises such as China Telecom, iFlytek, CATL, Hisense Group, Yihang Intelligence, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China have confirmed their attendance. The forum focuses on the hot issues of global concern in the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation.
