On site human-machine cooperation is well-organized. Lujiayao Village is located at the border of Shanxi and Mongolia. The village has fertile soil, sufficient sunlight, large temperature differences between day and night, and soft sand, which is conducive to the swelling of potato tubers. It is an ideal production area for potatoes. At present, Lujiayao Village is the largest concentrated contiguous area and highest yield high-quality potato demonstration base in Xinrong District. In recent years, Xinrong District has deeply studied and practiced the advanced experience of the "Ten Million Project", and regarded the development and growth of agricultural characteristic industries as an important measure to promote the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas. In 2023, Shanxi Dachen Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd. invested 3.6 million yuan to build a potato demonstration base, activate land resources, and transfer over a thousand acres of land for planting potatoes and other agricultural products. After careful management and protection, the potatoes grown have high yield and excellent quality, attracting foreign merchants to come and place orders one after another. At the potato purchasing point, the sorted potatoes are ready to be loaded onto trucks and sent to Hebei, Henan and other places. The acquirer came to the local area to purchase potatoes last year. "The quality of potatoes was good, and they were sold out as soon as they entered the market last year. At the end of the year, I placed another order here, and now that they are mature, I will come to purchase them quickly." It is reported that after the completion of the potato demonstration base, in the same year, the company introduced a professional technical team for potato planting from Siziwang Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and integrated technologies such as high-tech seed mixing, plastic film covering, subsurface drip irrigation, green pest and disease control, and fully mechanized operation. They experimented with planting 300 acres of fertile soil No. 5, 200 acres of Xishen No. 6, and 50 acres of Xishen No. 6 original seeds. Wang Dongyan, General Manager of Shanxi Dachen Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd., introduced that this year, 1200 acres of potatoes in the potato planting demonstration base have achieved a bumper harvest. The Mackenzie No.1 potato was harvested and put on the market in mid August, about 30 days earlier than Datian potatoes. The yield per acre can reach 6000 kilograms, and the average income per acre is 9600 yuan, which has driven surrounding villagers to find employment at their doorstep and achieve income growth and prosperity.
