During the meeting with Obiang, Zhao Leji stated that China and Equatorial Guinea are good friends and partners who share the same heart and soul, and firmly support each other on issues involving each other's core interests. China is willing to work with Equatorial Guinea to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, strengthen the docking of development strategies, deepen bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, health, energy, mining, agriculture and other fields, and create more new growth points of cooperation within the framework of the global development initiative, the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" and the Forum on China Africa Cooperation. The National People's Congress of China is willing to maintain friendly exchanges and cooperation with the Parliament of Equatorial Guinea to help the development of national relations.
Obiang warmly congratulates the upcoming Beijing Summit of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation and expresses Equatorial Guinea's firm support for President Xi Jinping's series of global initiatives, adherence to the One China principle, and willingness to work together with China to deepen bilateral relations and promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields.
