Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, met separately in Beijing on the 2nd with President Azali of Comoros and Vice President Tarata of Benin, who came to China to attend the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation.
During the meeting with Azali, Li Xi stated that President Xi Jinping and the President have decided to elevate the bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership, jointly drawing up a new blueprint for China Kuwait relations. China is willing to continue deepening political mutual trust, promoting pragmatic cooperation, strengthening cultural exchanges, enhancing international cooperation, and promoting greater development of China Kuwait relations, guided by the important consensus of the two heads of state.
Azali stated that the two countries have always supported each other in the nearly 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, setting an example for Africa China relations. We look forward to deepening exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, learning from China's experience in governance, promoting mutual benefit and win-win results, and better benefiting the two peoples.
During the meeting with Tarata, Li Xi stated that President Xi Jinping and President Talon jointly announced the establishment of the China Belarus strategic partnership last year, opening a new chapter in bilateral relations. China is willing to work together with Belgium to firmly support each other on issues related to their respective core interests and major concerns, promote pragmatic cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, and agriculture, closely coordinate and cooperate in international and regional affairs, and continuously promote new developments in the strategic partnership between China and Belgium. Li Xi stated that China and Belgium maintain good cooperation in the field of anti-corruption, and both sides should further strengthen communication and cooperation to continuously enrich the connotation of bilateral relations.
Tarata stated that China has set an example in eliminating poverty and promoting modernization, and its successful experience is worth learning from for Benin. We look forward to using this summit as an opportunity to deepen cooperation with China and promote new progress in bilateral relations.
