The Yangtze River Delta railway has seen a significant increase in family visits, tourism, and student flows. The direct passenger flow to Beijing, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, Changsha and other destinations is booming, with nearly 39.42 million direct passengers sent; The passenger flow between Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Suzhou, Wuxi, Yangzhou, Mount Huangshan, Yancheng, Wuhu, Anqing, Lianyungang and other places within the management increased significantly, sending nearly 138 million passengers within the management; Both the internal and direct passenger flows have reached a new high in the same period, and the average passenger load factor of trains has reached over 80%. It is worth mentioning that during this summer transportation, the daily passenger volume of the Yangtze River Delta railway exceeded 2.6 million for 48 days. Among them, 3.454 million passengers were sent on August 24th, which is the highest daily passenger volume of summer transportation in previous years. In order to meet the travel needs of passengers, during the summer transportation period, the railway department further optimized the train operation plan, fully considering the changes in passenger flow and the possible impact of extreme weather. A total of 5556 passenger trains were added, 9636 high-speed trains were organized for re coupling, and 6478 ordinary speed passenger vehicles were added. In addition, the railway departments in the Yangtze River Delta region also vigorously increase the number of freight trains during the summer transportation period. In addition to increasing the number of direct trains operating at coal loading points along the Fuhuai, Qingfu, Longhai and other routes, the railway department has leveraged the coal storage capacity of Lianyungang Port, Wenzhou Port, and Yuxikou Port yards since the beginning of this year, strengthened the organization of coal loading and unloading at ports, and made every effort to meet the coal demand of power plants during the peak summer electricity consumption.
