It belongs to the subtropical humid climate zone, with distinct four seasons throughout the year and superior natural conditions. Frost and snow are rare, providing unique natural conditions for the growth of jasmine flowers. It is understood that the cultivation and utilization of jasmine in Jianwei County has a history of nearly 300 years. In the later development, jasmine tea has gradually become a beautiful business card of Jianwei. Nowadays, the county cultivates 86000 acres of jasmine, ranking first in Southwest China and second in China. It also has 265000 acres of tea gardens, making it one of the few tea and jasmine dual bases in Southwest China. Not only that, jasmine is also the flower of Jianwei County. Large flowers, thick petals, white color and high content of essence oil have become the unique charm of "Jinqian Jasmine". Nowadays, Jianwei County is one of the four major jasmine producing areas in China and the second largest jasmine industry base in terms of scale. It is also known as the "Chinese Tea Town", "Chinese Jasmine Town", and "Chinese Jasmine Capital". The period from May to October each year is the time for picking and appreciating jasmine flowers.
