The 29th Chairman's Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the morning of the 27th. The meeting decided that the 11th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress would be held in Beijing from September 10 to 13. The Chairman's Meeting suggested that the 11th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress consider the revised draft of the National Defense Education Law, the revised draft of the Statistical Law, the revised draft of the Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the draft of the Energy Law, and the revised draft of the Anti money Laundering Law; Deliberate the proposals of the State Council on submitting for review the draft of the Emergency Public Health Response Law and the draft of the National Park Law; Deliberate the proposal of the National Supervisory Commission to review the draft amendment to the Supervision Law; Deliberate the proposal of the Chairman's Meeting of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on submitting the draft decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on conferring national medals and national honorary titles on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China; Deliberation on the proposals of the State Council to review and approve the Protocol on Amending the Treaty between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Kazakhstan on Judicial Assistance in Civil and Criminal Matters signed on January 14, 1993, the Treaty between the People's Republic of China and the Eastern Republic of Uruguay on Judicial Assistance in Criminal Matters, and the Treaty between the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons. The agenda for the 11th meeting of the Standing Committee proposed by the Chairman's Meeting includes: reviewing the report of the State Council on the implementation of the national economic and social development plan since the beginning of this year, the report on the implementation of the budget since the beginning of this year, the report on the management of government debt in 2023, the report on promoting childcare services, and the report on promoting the construction of the elderly care service system and strengthening and improving the care of disabled elderly people; Deliberate the report of the Law Enforcement Inspection Team of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on inspecting the implementation of the Agricultural Law; Deliberate the written report on Chairman Zhao Leji's visit to Uzbekistan and Russia, and his attendance at the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum and the 9th meeting of the China Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in Russia; Deliberating the report of the Credentials Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the qualifications of individual representatives; Deliberate on appointment and removal cases, etc. The Chairman's Meeting reviewed the analysis report of the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress on the economic operation since this year, and the report of the organs of the National People's Congress on the work of people's letters and visits since February 2024. At the Chairman's Meeting, Liu Qi, Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, reported on the draft agenda and schedule of the 11th Meeting of the Standing Committee. The relevant Deputy Secretaries General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and the heads of the relevant special committees and working committees of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress reported on relevant topics. Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Hongzhong, Wang Dongming, Xiao Jie, Zheng Jianbang, Ding Zhongli, Hao Mingjin, Cai Dafeng, He Wei, Wu Weihua, Tie Ning, Peng Qinghua, Zhang Qingwei, Luosanjiang Village, and Shekelaiti Zacker attended the meeting.
