Not far away, the head of another upstream enterprise in the local intelligent connected vehicle industry chain told reporters that three years ago, they chose to move to Wuxi and began producing controllers for intelligent cockpits in cars here. They have also jointly built a series of joint laboratories and innovation centers with upstream and downstream companies. On the intelligent production line of this enterprise, the reporter noticed that there are many industrial cameras used for rapid product identification and quality inspection. As an important foundation of industrial interconnection, the visual sensing related industry is also rapidly developing in Wuxi. The relevant person in charge of the enterprise introduced that the visual sensors they produce are mostly used in intelligent logistics scenarios. A large-scale intelligent logistics distribution center of tens of thousands of square meters can use thousands of various sensors, and the efficiency of a single sorting system can reach tens of thousands of parcels per hour per layer. With the settlement of IoT related enterprises in Wuxi, in order to form a more competitive industrial cluster, the Wuxi IoT Innovation Promotion Center has taken on the role of a "weaver" in the past few years. Up to now, they have cooperated with various universities, institutes, and leading enterprises across the country to jointly build 13 technology innovation bases and 4 joint laboratories. They have also "networked" 22 academicians and 52 well-known expert teams, and established an online resource docking library specifically for enterprises. The latest data shows that the scale of the IoT cluster industry in Wuxi has reached 451.16 billion yuan in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 13.2%; There are over 3500 IoT enterprises in the city, which have basically formed a complete industrial chain covering information perception, transmission networking, computing storage, and application processing.
