This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. For half a century, facing the changing international situation, China and Pakistan have always adhered to the principles of mutual respect, equal treatment, and win-win cooperation, and their relations have maintained stable development. Now, standing at a new starting point of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, both sides will continue to strengthen the docking of development strategies, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, give new era connotations to China Pakistan relations, and work together to promote the construction of a China Pakistan community with a shared future. They are good friends who share the same aspirations and good partners who move forward hand in hand. On August 15, 1974, China and Pakistan established diplomatic relations, marking the beginning of a process of joint development between the two major developing countries. Brazil is the first developing country to establish a strategic partnership with China and the first Latin American country to elevate bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership. China and Pakistan have no geopolitical conflicts, no real interest disputes, highly complementary economies, deeply integrated interests, and similar positions on major international and regional issues. This is the most valuable strategic asset and important common interest between China and Pakistan, as well as the political foundation for deepening mutual trust and cooperation between the two sides. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan 50 years ago, the two countries have always taken common development as their goal, regarded each other's development as their own opportunity, promoted pragmatic cooperation to achieve leapfrog development, effectively supported each other's modernization construction, and brought tremendous benefits to the people of both sides. Since 2009, China has been Brazil's most important trading partner and one of Brazil's major sources of foreign investment. Brazil was the first Latin American country to export over 100 billion US dollars to China and also China's largest trading partner in Latin America. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said recently that Brazil does not want to sit on the "bench" of jointly building the "the Belt and Road". As bilateral pragmatic cooperation deepens, cultural exchanges between China and Pakistan are becoming increasingly active.
