The "Industrialization Project of Automotive Combination Instrument Composite Screen Technology Achievements" undertaken by Heilongjiang Tianyouwei Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tianyouwei"), a major scientific and technological achievement transformation project in Heilongjiang Province, has recently passed the expert group acceptance organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The achievements of this project are pioneering in the industry, with completely independent intellectual property rights, filling the gap in the domestic automotive instrument field. The cost of automotive color LCD screens is relatively high, and the processing difficulty of irregular screens is high. Since 2019, Tian Youwei, the largest automotive instrument panel supplier in China, has been conducting technological breakthroughs by combining black and white screens with color screens and utilizing advanced technologies such as hot bending, optical bonding, and color film printing to develop a composite screen for automotive combination instruments. The project team achieved a high color saturation and contrast screen effect for the composite screen by combining a color screen and a segmented screen. At the same time, the screen cost has been reduced by about two-thirds compared to the original technology. Since 2020, Tianwei has successively developed and launched composite screen production lines, with more than 20 new production lines added. The products have been widely installed and applied, with an annual output of over one million sets. The composite screen products for automotive instruments have been adopted by Hyundai Kia Group, Changan Automobile, BYD, FAW GM Wuling, and others in South Korea. (New Society)
