Kenyan Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mudawadi stated on the 6th that the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) provides an important cooperation platform to enhance mutual trust and understanding between Africa and China, and to build consensus on development. He looks forward to the upcoming 2024 FOCAC Summit opening a new chapter in practical cooperation and bilateral relations between Kenya and China. On the same day, Mudawadi held a discussion and exchange with representatives of Chinese funded institutions and overseas Chinese organizations in Kenya in the capital Nairobi. Kenyan Deputy Foreign Minister Sinoe, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Zhou Pingjian, and others attended. Mudawadi stated that Kenya will participate in this summit and firmly support China in hosting the summit. He believes that the 2024 Forum on China Africa Cooperation summit will inject more vitality into Kenya China relations, open a new chapter in bilateral relations, and create a new starting point for pragmatic cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as trade and investment, peace and security, and people to people exchanges. Mudawadi also highly praised the development of bilateral relations between Kenya and China over the past 60 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, and thanked Chinese funded institutions and overseas communities in Kenya for their confidence in the Kenyan economy. He stated that in recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kenya and China has continued to develop, and China is a reliable partner for Kenya in various fields such as trade, infrastructure, and technology. Kenya is committed to creating a better investment environment and welcomes and supports Chinese institutions and citizens to develop in Kenya. We look forward to more Chinese investors coming to Kenya to start businesses and welcome more Chinese tourists to travel there. At the symposium, Zhou Pingjian positively evaluated the irreplaceable role played by Chinese funded institutions and overseas Chinese communities in promoting friendly cooperation between China and Kenya. He appreciated the important contributions made by Chinese funded enterprises and overseas Chinese in Kenya that the Kenyan government and people cherish. China is willing to take the 2024 Forum on China Africa Cooperation summit as an opportunity to work together with Kenya to promote the construction of a China Kenya community with a shared future and achieve new results. The President of the Kenya Overseas Chinese Federation, Gao Wei, stated that overseas Chinese in Kenya are willing to work together with the Kenyan government to promote Kenya's national development and social progress, and contribute unique strength to the friendship between China and Kenya for generations to come.
