Several museums in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region have launched special exhibitions and events to attract the public to "check in". Since the launch of the 40th anniversary special exhibition of the social sponsorship activity "Love China, Build the Great Wall" at the Capital Museum, the popularity of the exhibition has not diminished. Visitors have come here to reminisce about their stories with the Great Wall and express their patriotic feelings. The Great Wall resources in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region are abundant. The Wulonggou Great Wall, Zijingguan Great Wall, and Daomaguan Great Wall in Baoding built the southern barrier for Beijing's defense in the same year. During the summer, the "Taihang Dragon Ridge - Baoding Great Wall Historical and Cultural Exhibition" at Baoding Museum is also on display. The Great Wall of Baoding spans over 250 kilometers, like a dragon coiling over the Taihang Mountains. It was built on the edge of the mountain, using local materials and undulating terrain to form a cohesive whole. The relevant person in charge of Baoding Museum stated that this exhibition fully incorporates the latest research results in recent years, such as the Zhongshan Great Wall, Yannan Great Wall, Ming Great Wall defense system, and Great Wall resource survey in Baoding. It focuses on showcasing the rich historical and cultural connotations of the Great Wall in Baoding, with a total of 182 cultural relics (sets), more than 60 historical pictures, and more than 10 art creations, scene restoration, multimedia videos, immersive experiences, etc. It comprehensively displays the magnificent scenery and cultural connotations of Baoding Great Wall from three aspects: historical Great Wall, heroic Great Wall, and humanistic Great Wall. A photo in the exhibition hall depicting the Eighth Route Army's recapture of the Great Wall pass at Zijingguan caught the attention of reporters, representing a series of red stories that occurred on the Great Wall in Baoding. In November 1937, the first anti Japanese base area behind the enemy led by the CPC, the Shanxi Chahar Hebei Anti Japanese Base Area, was founded in Fuping, Baoding. Zhao Qi, Deputy Director of the China Ancient Animal Museum (Baoding Natural Museum), introduced that in addition to regular exhibitions, the museum has also launched a special exhibition called "Searching for Dragons in the Wild - A Century of Scientific Research on Chinese Dinosaurs", which brings wild scenes into the exhibition hall and uses contemporary installation art and MR mixed reality technology to provide visitors with an immersive dinosaur science popularization feast through the collision and combination of science and art, tradition and technology, and virtual and reality. Experience the coolness of the snow at Tianjin Art Museum. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the successful application for World Heritage status of the Potala Palace. On July 20th, Tianjin Museum of Art launched a special exhibition titled "Potala Palace - A World Cultural Heritage from the Snowy Land", injecting a touch of coolness into the scorching summer. This exhibition comprehensively showcases the artistic achievements of the Potala Palace in architecture, thangkas, statues, and other aspects, as well as China's continuous active exploration in the restoration and protection work of the Potala Palace. It is divided into three parts: "Millennium Majestic", "Among the Wonders", and "Divine Works of the Heavenly Road", exhibiting 87 sets of 149 exquisite cultural relics. At the same time, 50 volunteers formed a "Snow Ambassador" tour group to provide volunteer tour services. The reporter learned that in response to the "museum fever" and to meet the needs of visitors for evening visits, Tianjin Museum and Tianjin Art Museum have issued a notice of delayed closure. From July 12th to August 31st, the closure will be extended from 16:30 to 18:30 every Friday and Saturday.
