On July 29th, Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong stated at the China Africa Digital Cooperation Forum held in Beijing that he will continue to adhere to the principle of consultation, co construction, and sharing, actively engage in digital cooperation with African countries, and help build a "digital Africa".
The information released on the forum shows that in recent years, China has accelerated the development of new generation digital and information communication technologies such as 5G, big data, and cloud computing. China and Africa continue to deepen digital cooperation. Chinese enterprises actively participate in the construction of digital infrastructure in Africa, such as sea and land cables, 5G networks, and data centers. They provide solutions such as e-government, smart transportation, and smart agriculture. They also increase investment services such as financial technology, e-commerce, and mobile Internet, so that more African users can enjoy the convenience of digitalization.
It is worth mentioning that with the implementation of mobile payments in Africa, open source Euler, as an open-source operating system incubated by the Open Atom Open Source Foundation, provides solutions in security, vulnerability management, and operations.
Jin Zhuanglong stated that he will actively engage in digital cooperation with African countries, jointly discuss digital cooperation plans, build digital infrastructure, share the dividends of the digital economy, and promote digital capacity building. Support practical cooperation among enterprises in areas such as mobile communication, data centers, and sea land cables, and collaborate to promote the development and application of digital technologies such as 5G/6G, network security, high-performance computing, and quantum communication. Encourage enterprises, think tanks, universities, and others to jointly build capacity building cooperation platforms.
It is reported that the forum is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the "China Africa Digital Cooperation Development Action Plan" was released at the forum.
