The 2024 Trade and Investment Fair between Guangxi, China and the provinces of Ha Giang, Guangning, Lang Son, and Gia Binh in Vietnam was held in Nanning on the 24th. A total of 120 officials from the economic, trade, tourism, and agriculture departments of the four border provinces of Vietnam, as well as Chinese and Vietnamese entrepreneurs, participated in the talks. Guangxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of Lang Son Province, Vietnam. The picture shows the signing site of the cooperation agreement. Yang Yanyan, President of Guangxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Secretary General of the Joint Secretariat of China ASEAN Business Council, stated on the same day that in recent years, the scale of bilateral trade between Guangxi and Vietnam has continued to expand, and the level of economic and trade cooperation has continued to improve, expanding from traditional agricultural product trade to emerging fields such as new energy, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing. Last year, the bilateral trade volume between Guangxi and Vietnam exceeded 250 billion yuan for the first time. Guangxi encourages enterprises to develop in the four provinces along the Vietnam border, and also welcomes Vietnamese enterprises to enter Guangxi. Both sides will jointly develop the ASEAN market, the Chinese market, and the European and American markets. Guangxi will attract and support more enterprises to settle in border and port industrial parks such as Pingxiang and Dongxing, and rely on the China Vietnam smart port and logistics to create a cross-border industrial chain supply chain that complements and benefits ASEAN. Consul General of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Nanning, Du Nanzhong, stated that Vietnam attaches great importance to promoting economic and trade cooperation with Guangxi and has been Guangxi's largest trading partner for 25 consecutive years. We hope to further leverage the role of the Consulate General of Vietnam in Nanning as a bridge and link through this event, deepen economic and trade cooperation between the four border provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi, and establish a normalized communication mechanism. This conference is jointly organized by the Guangxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Joint Secretariat of the China ASEAN Business Council, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Nanning, and the Trade and Industry Departments of Hejiang, Guangning, Langshan, and Gaoping provinces in Vietnam.
