During the bilateral mechanism meeting on investment and energy between China and Russia, Ding Xuexiang stated that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, which is an important historical milestone. China is willing to work with Russia to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously improve the level of investment and energy cooperation between the two countries, and better achieve mutual benefit, win-win results, and common development.
Ding Xuexiang pointed out that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, investment and energy cooperation between China and Russia have always maintained a good development trend, bringing tangible benefits to both countries and their peoples. Both sides should strengthen the planning and guidance of investment cooperation, steadily promote cooperation on key projects, deeply tap into the potential of local cooperation, actively create a favorable investment environment, and promote the continuous advancement of investment cooperation between the two countries to a higher level. We need to deepen the integration of upstream, midstream, and downstream energy cooperation, strengthen cooperation in energy technology innovation and other fields, enhance strategic cooperation in global energy governance, and jointly promote the high-quality development of China Russia energy cooperation.
The Russian side spoke highly of the development level of Russia China relations and the achievements of practical cooperation, congratulated the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC on its successful convening, and said that the important decisions made at the plenary session will strongly promote China's prosperity and development, and will also provide new opportunities for the development of Russia China relations. The Russian side is willing to work together with the Chinese side to fully implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, give full play to the platform and coordination role of investment and energy cooperation mechanisms, expand cooperation at a deeper level and in a wider range of fields, and assist in the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and China in the new era.
The mechanism meeting summarized and sorted out the achievements of investment and energy cooperation between the two countries, and exchanged in-depth views on the next step of cooperation planning. Both sides agreed to accelerate the implementation of the conference consensus and accumulate results for the 29th regular meeting between the two prime ministers within the year.

In May of this year, the heads of state of the two countries held talks in Beijing, and China and Russia issued a joint statement, proposing to continue consolidating China Russia energy strategic cooperation and achieve high-level development to ensure the economic and energy security of the two countries.
