In recent years, Hohhot has actively taken part in the national "East Data West Computing" project, making every effort to build the Helingeer Data Center Cluster, a national data center cluster. 32 data center projects, including China Mobile Intelligent Computing Center (Hohhot), have been implemented in the Helingeer New Area. The rapid development of the computing power industry has not only created a strong growth pole for the high-quality economic development of Hohhot, but also opened up a new development track for artificial intelligence. Hohhot's green computing industry focuses on the continuous development of the entire industry chain. Guo Juying, Director of the Economic Development and Investment Promotion Service Bureau of Helingeer New Area, introduced that in the upstream of the industry, new energy peripheral supporting construction has been carried out, and data center equipment manufacturing enterprises have been introduced to continuously provide green electricity and computing power equipment; In the midstream of the industry, enterprises are introduced from three aspects: computing power, computing power output, and data center construction to provide strong computing power supply; In the downstream of the industry, there are established operation and maintenance bases, data processing and trading bases, artificial intelligence model training and reasoning bases, and information and innovation adaptation bases, continuously developing computing power industry application scenarios and users. In the Inner Mongolia Digital Energy Storage Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park located in Helingeer New Area, Gao Hong, the general manager of Yunchu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., is busy connecting with data center customers. The company produces 5000 digital energy cabinets annually in Helingeer New Area, with an annual output value of about 250 million yuan. With the continuous use of servers and cabinets, the current installed capacity of servers in Helingeer New Area has exceeded 1.5 million units. In the development of the computing power industry, Hohhot city focuses on transforming the advantages of new energy into computing power advantages, fully utilizing its own and Inner Mongolia's new energy electricity, and creating green computing power. The local area has deployed 360000 kilowatts of photovoltaic and wind power projects in the Helingeer New Area, specifically to deliver green energy to data centers. At present, the proportion of green electricity usage in data centers that have been put into operation in Helingeer New Area exceeds 80%. As of June this year, the total computing power of Helingeer New Area has reached 24000 P, of which 21800 P is intelligent computing power, accounting for 91%. The strong supply of intelligent computing power has created a solid foundation for the development of artificial intelligence. Helingeer New Area has introduced nearly 100 algorithm incubation, artificial intelligence, and data application projects such as Inner Mongolia Data Trading Center, Chengmai Technology Digital Industry Base, and Pengfeng Technology Advanced Computing Innovation Center, utilizing its powerful computing capabilities to promote artificial intelligence. The "full scenario" smart education project being promoted by iFlytek in Hohhot is a microcosm of the development of artificial intelligence. Entering the classroom of Yungu School affiliated with Inner Mongolia Normal University in Helingeer New Area, teachers can use voice to awaken the "smart blackboard" at any time and retrieve relevant knowledge outside the textbook. At the same time, the "Smart Blackboard" also realizes functions such as grading essays and intelligent course recording.
