On July 17, 2024, at the invitation of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, led by Jiang Wei, Chairman of the Women's Federation of Haizhu District, Guangzhou, more than 30 family representatives from Haizhu District were organized to participate in the "Bay Area Recitation" event of the Hong Kong Book Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The purpose of this event is to promote reading and communication among families and children in the Bay Area, and to promote deep integration in the Bay Area. It is reported that the Hong Kong Book Fair is hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and is one of the largest book fairs in Asia. It is of great significance for deepening more open and closer exchanges and cooperation between Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland. At the same time, this is also the first time that the "Red Tea Bookstore" has joined hands with the Hong Kong Book Fair to hold a cultural exchange feast in Hong Kong and Macao, aiming to build a bridge for cultural communication between children in Hong Kong, Macao and mainland China, and embark on a journey of reading ancient poetry and experiencing the charm of traditional culture. To promote the integrated development of the Bay Area, let the fragrance of books drift into homes in the Bay Area, let excellent traditional culture take root and sprout in the hearts of young people, and better promote the construction of child friendly cities. Using the Hong Kong Book Fair as a platform, the "Hong Kong Book Fair Black Tea Book House" - Guangzhou Haizhu District's "Hanfu Yayun Bay Area Recitation" parent-child exchange and learning activity was held on the afternoon of July 17, 2024 at the "World Culture and Art Gallery" exhibition and exchange stage area of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. In this event, members of the "Little Button" preaching team from Haizhu District Women's Federation in Guangzhou dressed in exquisite Hanfu, like bookish youths from ancient times. Accompanied by melodious music, the team members brought their pure and emotional voices to recite more than ten popular ancient poems such as "Quiet Night Thoughts," "Little Fishing," "Difficulties on the Road," and "Water Tuned Songs. Numerous Hong Kong residents who attended the exhibition stopped to watch and enthusiastically took photos with the young actors. Hong Kong residents who participated in the exhibition expressed that through this event, they deeply felt the charm of traditional Chinese culture and also got to know the reading brand of "Red Tea Bookstore". Several Hong Kong residents enthusiastically expressed that they have recorded the entire program and are ready to bring it home for their children to watch and learn together. In the future, they will also organize families to recite classics together and participate in learning traditional Chinese culture. Chairman Jiang Wei also organized everyone to learn about the concept and current situation of the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area", as well as the significant importance of building the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area" emphasized in the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Let the children participating in the activity have a deeper understanding of the strategic importance of the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area" and the significant achievements it has made in the development of the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area" over the past 30 years. Chairman Jiang Wei hopes to promote better parent-child reading and communication among families in the Bay Area through this event, further deepen the understanding and recognition of Chinese culture among young people in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, enhance their sense of national pride and ownership, and enable them to have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, enhance cultural confidence, and cultivate patriotism. After the event, Jiang Wei stated that the Women's Federation of Haizhu District will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two regions, jointly explore new paths for the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture, and contribute women's strength to the inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture. At the same time, we will continue to promote the in-depth development of family reading activities, guide more families to pay attention to traditional culture, let the fragrance of books and traditional culture infiltrate every family together, and let the fragrance of books drift into the homes of the Bay Area. It is reported that the "Black Tea Bookstore" is a family reading public welfare project launched by the Haizhu District Women's Federation in 2019 in conjunction with the "Family Happiness and Health Project". With the goal of "tea fragrance accompanied by book fragrance, family grows together", we advocate a family lifestyle of "one cup of tea, one book, one family", and are committed to providing high-quality reading resources and parent-child reading spaces for families. Next, the Women's Federation of Haizhu District will continue to deepen the characteristic project of "Black Tea Bookstore", committed to creating a reading atmosphere for the whole nation and strengthening the construction of family civilization. Taking the family as the cornerstone, integrating the elegance of traditional culture with the profundity of books, allowing traditional culture and the fragrance of books to complement each other, promoting common learning and growth among family members. Through a series of measures, we will further promote the deepening of the national reading activity, contribute to the construction of a child friendly city, gather strength, create a social environment full of book fragrance, promote the development of the "Reading China" activity, and let the fragrance of books drift into families in the Bay Area.
