The founding meeting of the National Medical Security Standardization Working Group was held on the 18th at the National Medical Security Administration. The standardization of medical insurance is closely related to the convenience of medical treatment. Since its establishment in 2018, the National Healthcare Security Administration has formulated and released 18 coding standards for medical insurance information business, including medical insurance drugs, medical consumables, and medical service projects. It has built a unified national medical insurance standard library and data pool, providing a solid foundation for direct settlement of medical treatment in different places, reform of payment methods, and convenient and beneficial medical insurance services. Qu Hao, Director of the Service Industry Standards Department of the Standards and Technology Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, said that the establishment of the National Medical Security Standardization Working Group has built standardized technical platforms for medical security management services, medical security benefits, pharmaceutical price procurement, fund supervision, etc., which will effectively support the development of medical security standardization and informatization, and better meet the medical service needs of the people. It is reported that the working group will establish a standardized work mechanism led by the National Medical Security Administration and coordinated by various regions, forming a standardized system that is compatible with the reform and development of medical security, and gradually forming a national list of medical security standards. At the same time, we will improve the standard framework system, strengthen basic research on standards, carry out the revision and review of national standards, and strengthen standardization work in key areas.
