The 2024 Digital Low Altitude Conference, jointly hosted by the Future Mobile Communication Forum and Pengcheng Laboratory, will be held in Shenzhen on August 2nd. The conference, with the theme of "Strengthening the Digital Base and Promoting Low altitude Development," brings together renowned experts and business representatives from the civil aviation, radio, ICT, and low altitude application fields to explore how the digital base can safeguard the low altitude economy. The low altitude economy, as a representative of strategic emerging industries and new quality productive forces, is transforming from a castle in the air to within reach. The construction of information infrastructure is crucial for the development of low altitude economy. As technology moves from exploration to widespread application, the low altitude economy poses many challenges to information infrastructure. How to achieve full flight monitoring? How to conduct perception and identity recognition to prevent "slow and small" and "black flying"? How to achieve real-time feedback of business data? With the support of information and communication technologies represented by 5G-A and even future 6G technologies, these challenges will gradually be resolved. Since 2024, a low altitude and multi industry integrated industrial ecosystem integrating advanced manufacturing, application scenarios, digital bases, and low altitude infrastructure is gradually forming. At the 2024 Global 6G Technology Conference held in April this year, the industry generally believed that low altitude economy would become one of the most potential killer applications of 6G. Based on this trend, the Future Mobile Communication Forum established the Digital Low Altitude Working Group (DLAWG) in 2024, proposing a value pattern based on "driving and empowering the development of low altitude economy through China's leading ICT technology chain". During this conference, the Digital Low Altitude Working Group (DLAWG) will be officially launched. The working group aims to promote the construction of low altitude intelligent information infrastructure, develop low altitude economic related standards, and promote technological innovation and industrial ecology construction through the integration of communication technology, perception technology, information technology, data technology, and network technology. The working group will establish a cross industry university research application technology exchange platform, organize experiments and tests, evaluate advanced technologies, and promote the formation of industry consensus and certification mechanisms. One of the organizers of the conference, Pengcheng Laboratory, focuses on breaking through the modeling technology of sensory environment, overcoming the problem of mutual interference between ground and air, low altitude communication and perception, and building a verification platform for 6G and digital low altitude key technologies. It can support the realization of reliable, robust, and safe low altitude three-dimensional network coverage, improve the monitoring and management level of aircraft in low altitude environment, and safeguard the healthy development of low altitude economy. The 2024 Digital Low Altitude Conference will attract a group of scientists, engineers, and industry leaders to share their insights and expectations for the future of digital low altitude. The conference will focus on the overall planning of low altitude information infrastructure construction and standards, the scenarios and demands of low altitude economy, air ground intelligent connectivity technology, related standards and technologies, networks, applications, service innovation and other topics.
