It is reported that the information released by the Ministry of Transport shows that the total number of cruise passengers transported in China in the first half of this year was nearly 500000, and the market supply continues to enrich. The cruise economy is accelerating its recovery. In the first half of this year, China's cruise transportation accelerated its recovery, with a total of 23 cruise ships operating 206 voyages. Among them, the second quarter of this year increased by nearly 60% compared to the first quarter. At present, cruise ships operating in China have routes that depart from domestic ports to Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, or Hong Kong, as well as global routes that depart from foreign ports and visit Chinese ports. Li Xuelian, Director of the Regulations Department of the Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Transport, stated that China's international cruise transportation is undergoing new changes, and local cruise products are paying more attention to differentiation and personalized development. Li Xuelian: The accelerated recovery of the cruise economy provides strong support for further expanding domestic demand and boosting consumption. With the arrival of summer vacation, it is expected that the volume of cruise passenger transportation will continue to steadily increase in the third quarter. After international cruise ships dock, in order to better serve cruise tourists, multiple regions closely cooperate to enhance the customs clearance experience. In Tianjin, border inspection stations have implemented facilitation measures such as "24-hour visa free transit" for transit and transfer passengers, taking measures such as early review, maritime processing, and opening temporary certificate application windows. In Xiamen, the cruise homeport has achieved full coverage of shore power for cruise berths, improving its service capabilities for cruise ships. Li Xuelian stated that in the next step, multiple departments will strengthen policy guidance and accelerate the layout and construction of cruise terminals. Li Xuelian: Promote the construction of specialized cruise terminals such as Dalian Port, Tianjin Port, Qingdao Port, Shanghai Port, Ningbo Zhoushan Port, Xiamen Port, Guangzhou Port, Shenzhen Port, Sanya Port, etc., significantly improve the reception capacity of large cruise ships, and effectively support the development needs of cruise transportation.
