On the afternoon of the 14th, amidst the majestic national anthem of the People's Republic of China, the 17th Hong Kong Youth Military Summer Camp held its opening ceremony at the Xinwei Barracks of the Chinese People's Liberation Army stationed in Hong Kong. About 500 young people from more than 130 secondary schools in Hong Kong lined up neatly, raised their right hands in unison, and swore to enter the camp. Leaders from the Hong Kong Qunli Resource Center, the Education Bureau and Disciplinary Forces of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Hong Kong Garrison attended the ceremony. This military summer camp will start on July 14th and is scheduled to end on July 20th. Hong Kong teenagers who join the camp will undergo a one week study, training, and living in the military camp. During the summer camp, the Hong Kong Garrison will focus on patriotism and national defense education themes, highlight the cultural characteristics of the military camp, and combine with the actual situation of Hong Kong youth to arrange a series of activities such as military training, educational lectures, and visits to learn, so that the vast number of Hong Kong youth can strengthen their physical fitness and broaden their horizons through rich educational and training activities, further cultivate their patriotism and hone their strong skills.
