As one of the special measures for promoting cross-border trade facilitation by the General Administration of Customs in 2024, the "confirmation of departure" mode for customs clearance has been piloted in multiple customs and has received widespread praise from enterprises. In June of this year, the General Administration of Customs decided to further expand the pilot scope to multiple customs offices such as Shenzhen and Huangpu. In the "departure confirmation" mode of customs clearance, after the imported container arrives at the port of entry, there is no need to wait for cargo handling and booking. It can be declared to the customs and the clearance procedures for the customs clearance can be completed. After the enterprise confirms the domestic logistics information, the goods can be transported to the destination port in China. Compared to the traditional transit mode, the new mode can save 1-2 days of transit waiting time, effectively improve the efficiency of waterway logistics, and shorten the delivery time of goods.
