According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, on July 10th, the Ministry organized a symposium on the work of international communication business import and export bureaus, issuing licenses to China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom, and approving the establishment of international communication business import and export bureaus in Nanning, Guangxi, Qingdao, Shandong, Kunming, Yunnan, and Haikou, Hainan. As an international communication hub connecting the global network, the International Communications Service Import and Export Bureau is an important information infrastructure for China's foreign exchanges. Jin Zhuanglong, minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's international communication infrastructure has made great progress. The International Communications Import and Export Bureau has presented a echelon layout, built a communication submarine cable network covering Asia Pacific, North America and countries and regions along the "the Belt and Road", which has strongly supported the development of the digital economy and international cooperation and exchange. Jin Zhuanglong emphasized that all units should take the newly established International Communication Business Import and Export Bureau as an opportunity to expand external interconnection channels, do a good job in the development, supervision, and security of international communication, and consolidate and enhance the competitive advantage and leading position of the information and communication industry. We need to accelerate the construction of new entry and exit bureaus, with basic telecommunications enterprises as the main responsible entities, and local governments, communication management bureaus, and others fully participating to form a working force. To empower high-quality economic and social development, support the opening up of telecommunications services, cross-border data flow, international digital trade, and promote the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, actively serve the introduction of local foreign investment and the internationalization of enterprises. We need to strengthen the safe operation of import and export bureaus, establish and improve management systems, further enhance network resilience and carrying capacity, strengthen network and information security guarantees, and ensure stable operation of facilities and good network quality.
