On July 7th, the press conference on the "Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law in China (2024)" and the special seminar on "Further Deepening Reform and the Implementation of the Rule of Law" jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Behavioral Law and Central South University were held in Beijing. Jing Hanchao, member of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress and Vice Chairman of the Social Construction Committee, Vice President of the China Law Society, President of the Civil Procedure Law Research Association of the China Law Society, Zhang Xueqiao, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and Hu Yunteng, member of the Advisory Committee of the Supreme People's Court and President of the Case Law Research Association of the China Law Society, attended and delivered keynote speeches. Dong Zhiliang, President of the Chinese Society of Behavioral Law, presided over the press conference. According to Jiang Bixin, the editor in chief of the "Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law in China (2024)", it has been nearly twelve years since the establishment of the "Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law in China" project at the end of 2012. The Report on the Implementation of the Rule of Law in China (2024) was jointly created by 40 experts from 20 famous universities and 9 practical departments. The book consists of over 800000 words, divided into four major parts, consisting of 20 reports and 10 evaluations by renowned scholars. It presents a multi-dimensional panoramic view of the objective situation of China's rule of law operation over the past year. The press conference adopts a synchronous live streaming mode both online and offline. More than 100 academic researchers and practitioners from various legal research institutions and law enforcement agencies across the country attended the conference on-site, and more than 20000 people participated online. At the seminar, ten well-known domestic experts elaborated on the relationship between further comprehensive deepening of reform and the implementation of the rule of law from various fields of law.
