At the scene, there were Wang Yinqi, the youngest female anchor of CCTV News Network, who signed up for the mixed doubles match with her husband Yao Rui, Song Yifei, a badminton special recruit who had just turned 18 years old and was admitted to Peking University with 608 points, and of course, Tan Yufan, an 11 year old student from Beijing who came back from Los Angeles to participate. Tan Yufan's mother said that the competitive level of domestic youth athletes is much higher than that of the United States. In Linyi, due to the impact of typhoons and floods, some players can only wade into the badminton hall of the Linyi National Fitness Sports Center Sports Park in the Linyi competition area. The top two contestants from Group A and Group B, as well as the top two contestants from other groups, will advance to the competition area and participate in the national finals held in Guangzhou from July 20th to 21st. The 2024 Legend Challenge of Pop Badminton is a national badminton competition organized by the China Badminton Association, the Qingdao International Exchange Center of the World Badminton Federation, the Guangzhou Executive Committee of the 15th National Games and Paralympic Games, and the Beijing Olympic Culture Promotion Association and Beijing Taige Aidi Cultural Media Co., Ltd. The competition is divided into three levels: selection, regional competition, and finals. Regional competitions are held in multiple cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Xiong'an, Chengdu, Xiamen, Ningbo, Nanning, and Linyi. Next, the finals will be held in Guangzhou on July 20th.
